The political left cannot handle the truth about Sarah Palin so they consistently bear false witness against the first woman to be both governor of Alaska and the vice presidential nominee of the Republican Party.

For example, the leftist blogs are regurgitating a bogus Democrat talking point that the book signing at Minnesota's Mall of America was poorly attended. Sewer blog Wonkette and its fellow travelers in the leftosphere are prevaricating, as they are inclined to do every time they put up a post about Gov. Palin and her family, when they claim that "only 300 people showed up to attend the Sarah and Bristol Palin book signing of Bristol’s new memoir... The family abandoned the stage half an hour before the end of the time slot because there was nobody left."

That's the lie. However, the Associated Press, a media institution which has not exactly been friendly to Gov. Palin, reported:

"The mall estimates about 1,500 people turned out..."

1500 people showed up for the signing? But, but, but... that would mean that leftists are lying when they insist that only 300 turned out.

Let's check another source. According to local television station KSTP-TV:

"A crowd at Mall of America waited hours to see ex-Alaska governor Sarah Palin, her husband Todd, their daughter Bristol and her son Tripp."

The crowd "waited hours" to see Gov. Palin and her family? How can that be, when the "progressive" prevaricators claim that few showed up and nobody stayed? Who are you going to believe, liberals or your lying eyes and ears?

Here's a third source. From the account by local CBS affiliate WCCO-TV:

"People lined up throughout the day at the Mall of America in Bloomington as Bristol Palin made an appearance for her new memoir..."

Throughout the day? My, my. There you have no less than three independent sources that expose the liberal lie for what it is.

The source for the bottom-feeding bloggers' bullsh*t offensive seems to be a disingenuous account posted by Jessica Lussenhop at the untrustworthy site City Pages. According to her Linked In profile, Lussenhop attended the "Academy for Alternative Journalism" and the leftist Journolister factory otherwise know as the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Oh, and she also did some time at Ms. Magazine. No agenda-driven distortion by Ms. Lussenhop, no ma'am.

So why the lie? Even if a lefty journo hates Sarah Palin with a purple passion, why intentionally write a dishonest account of something as relatively pedestrian as a book signing and then put your name behind it? There's just one logical conclusion. It's not just hate at work here, but fear as well. The left is so afraid of Sarah Palin as a potential threat to the faux socialist utopia they are clumsily constructing that they will do literally anything, even lie their sorry butts off, to maintain the narrative that she does not enjoy the popular support that we see displayed for her everywhere she goes.

It's not that the left cannot recognize the truth about Sarah Palin. They just can't handle it. So they tell lies about her. If they weren't so evil they'd be pathetic.

People lined up throughout the day at the Mall of America in Bloomington as Bristol Palin made an appearance for her new memoir, titled Not Afraid of My Life. My Journey So Far. Fans needed to purchase the book to get it signed.

To get Sarah Palin’s autograph, fans had to buy either America By Heart or Going Rogue.

The line began forming before sunrise in single-digit temperatures at a Costco store in Anchorage for Gov. Palin's book signing Saturday :

Christmas music played as Palin and former "First Dude" Todd sat at a decorated table between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. signing copies of Palin's bestselling "America By Heart." The Palins chatted with book-buyers as the line passed. News photographers and gawkers outside the line angled to snap photos of the Palins.

Alaska Pride reports that a couple of the usual suspects were among the crowd:

No significant disturbances broke out, although security ejected at least two people. One was a woman wearing a "Worst Governor Ever" shirt, and the other was a known anti-Palin blogger spotted by Todd Palin. Alaska Dispatch confirmed the blogger to be Jesse Lee Griffin, who edits The Immoral Minority. Griffin posted about the encounter, and said things were going well until he told Todd his name. Then Todd's face darkened, he whispered something in Sarah's ear, and Sarah allegedly told Griffin "Oh, you are the one who is trying to destroy my children!" Griffin was then escorted out of the place, sans autograph.

Some fools don't even have enough common sense not to try to mess with a Mama Grizzly's cubs...

The leather-bound collectible edition of “America By Heart” is now on sale and can be purchased online here. I was honored by the thoughtful review of the book by Melissa Clouthier, which you can read here.

We had a great time on the book tour. It was wonderful meeting and speaking to so many fellow patriots. “America By Heart” was inspired by my travels around the country meeting great Americans following the “Going Rogue” book tour; so this was like coming full circle. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the tour and to everyone who attended the signings!

Our book signing in Alaska will be on Saturday, December 18, 11-2:00pm at the Costco in Anchorage.

Sarah Palin Fans Waited in Rain, Cold Before SC Book Signing (Updated)

For hundreds of excited but chilly Sarah Palin fans in Columbia, SC, their long wait in the cold and rainy weather is over. Gov. Palin is signing their copies of America by Heart. In addition to her autograph, reports the Associated Press:

Everyone who walked up to Palin got a "Hi there! What's your name?" followed by a million-dollar smile and a few seconds of chitchat. County music blared over the store's loudspeakers as the line for Palin eventually snaked down almost every aisle.

The governor is wrapping up her second book tour (although she's hinted that future signing events may be scheduled) in a key presidential primary state:

South Carolina will be the first state in the South to send its Republicans to the polls in 2012, and Palin is well-liked here. An exit poll taken on Election Day found more than 80 percent of people who identified themselves as Republicans in South Carolina approved of Palin.

But they also split among Palin, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee when asked which candidate they favored to be the party's nominee in 2012.

At the Books-a-Million in suburban Columbia on Friday, it was hard to find anyone who wasn't planning on voting for Palin if she runs.

"We need someone like her to clean things up," said Gail Martin, who was getting a book signed for her and her 8-year-old daughter. "She's not like anyone up there now."

Martin's husband picked up the bracelet for her. But she wasn't going to miss meeting her hero Friday. The 36-year-old Navy veteran from Lexington was thrilled when U.S. Sen. John McCain from Arizona won the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. She became even more excited when she got to know Palin after McCain picked her as his running mate.

"She just stepped into the spotlight and handled it great. And then I found out she had a child with Down syndrome, and I knew she was what this country needed," said Martin, who has a 6-year-old daughter with autism.

Martin brought along her 8-year-old daughter Lauren, who started liking Palin after watching her climb mountains and go hunting on her new reality show.

Gov. Palin was last in Columbia in May to give her endorsement to Nikki Haley, who is now the Palmetto State's governor-elect. Just a few weeks later, Haley defeated three more established candidates to win the Republican Party nomination:

Plenty of cars in the bookstore parking lot had fresh "Haley for Governor" bumper stickers on the back.

"We now have a woman as governor," Martin said. "Wouldn't it be nice to have one as president too?"

Cheering Crowd greets Gov. Palin in Carmel, Indiana

Hundreds of fans gathered in a suburban store north of Indianapolis to get their copies of her book signed by Sarah Palin, according to a Columbus Republic story:

Palin greeted fans and signed copies of her book, "America By Heart," at the Carmel Meijer store Thursday evening. The Carmel visit is the only one in Indiana listed on Palin's Facebook page.

Palin shook hands and made chit-chat as the line moved through a cordoned-off area of the store.

Some waited for hours to see Palin, including a number who spent the night in the store.

Gov. Palin's "Going Rogue" book tour stopped in Fort Wayne and Noblesville last year when she signed copies of her best-selling first book.

More reporting on the Indiana event by The Indy Channel (WRTV-TV), The Indianapolis Star (which also has a photo gallery), WXIN-TV and a video package which aired earlier today on WISH-TV. The Indiana News Center reported this morning that Kristen Dorini, the first person in line, arrived at the store at 7:30 Wednesday night.

On the Des Moines Register's Iowa Politics Insider blog, Tom Beaumont reports that Gov. Sarah Palin was on a pace to sign more than 1,000 copies of her new book today in a Walmart store in the northwest Iowa resort community of Spirit Lake:

Palin, making her second trip to Iowa in the past week to promote “America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag,” arrived shortly before 11 a.m. at the store. Palin, who overnighted in the area, was delayed briefly when a small crowd of fans showed up in the morning at the hotel where she was staying.

Inside the back room where Palin was signing the books, country music played loudly while Palin feverishly signed stacks of books while making small talk with fans, like Julie Swanson, 32, of nearby Harris.

“I just love what she stands for. I love her values,” said Swanson, a stay-at-home mother of two-year-old son Luke. “I hope she runs for president.”

Two of Palin’s daughters, Piper and Willow, were with her, as they have been throughout the 16-city book tour, which wraps up tomorrow. At one point, Piper asked her mother if she could shop in the store. “Piper, look for a scarf, honey,” Palin said as the girl left the room.

In a separate story, Beaumont said this Iowa event also drew fans from nearby South Dakota and Minnesota, "judging by the license plates in the crowded parking lot."

Arkansans Brave Hours of Cold Weather for Sarah Palin Book Signing

KARK-TV reports from Little Rock that hundreds of Arkansans waited hours in what felt like below-freezing temperatures for a chance to have Gov. Palin sign copies of her second book, America by Heart:

With her new book out and her new reality show on television, many wonder if this will lead up to another run for the White House.

The book cover for "America by Heart" says it's about Sarah Palin's take on what it's like to be an American. Today's long line was full of people who came out because they say they identify with Palin and her emphasis on faith and family.

The chilly temperatures and long line couldn't keep these Arkansans from Sarah Palin. They came bundled up, and started lining up before the sun came up.

Palin fan Richard Caster said, "Got here at 5 am, left the house in Mountain Home at 2 am."

Caster drove nearly three hours from Baxter County and was the first person in line at Sam's Club. But the line was filled with people equally as anxious to shake Palin's hand and get her John Handcock on her latest book.

Palin supporter Ben Jiles said, "I came down here to see Sarah Palin cause to me, she is a true American. She's connected with so many people not through everyday politics, but through the ideals we all live by."

Mary Sparacello of The Times-Picayune reports on Gov. Palin's book signing event this evening in Metairie, an unincorporated city of about 145,000 adjacent to New Orleans:

Nancy Adams and her daughter Jolie Taubin of Covington had waited all day Monday to be one of the first people to meet Sarah Palin and shake her hand at a book signing in Metairie. They said the wait was worth it.

"It was an experience you won't forget," Adams told her 9-year-old daughter after they met Palin.

Adams and Taubin were two of hundreds of people who waited hours to meet Palin on Monday night at a book-signing at Barnes & Noble on Veterans Memorial Boulevard.

Palin signed copies of "America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag." The book hit bookshelves Nov. 23, and Metairie was an early stop on the national tour. Palin will be in Baton Rouge at a Books-a-Million on Tuesday morning.

When Palin stepped behind the book-signing table, the excited crowd cheered and broke out in scattered chants of "Run, Sarah, run," encouraging Palin to run for president in 2012.

About 300 people were waiting in line Monday morning for the bookstore's doors to open so they could buy the book and get a wristband for the signing, said Jennifer Simon, community relations manager for the Metairie store. Bookstore employees wouldn't release a final count of wristbands given out.

Palin smiled widely, shook hands and spoke with everyone as she autographed books.

"Six children," the mother of five and former vice presidential candidate exclaimed to one woman. "You have me beat."

Attendees said they were surprised at how friendly Palin was. "She's very personable, very charming," said Gwen Mitchell of Destrehan.

Updated: Sarah Palin signs books at Borders in West Des Moines

Gov. Palin began signing books a few minutes early at the Borders bookstore in Des Moines this evening:

About 400 people were standing in the line that snaked through the west side store for the 2008 vice presidential nominee’s book-signing. Palin, who is weighing a 2012 bid for the Republican presidential nomination, was scheduled to sign copies of her new book, “America By Heart: Reflections on Family Faith and Flag” at 6 p.m.

At 5:36 p.m., Palin breezed in the back of the store through a service entrance and prompted brief cheers from those first in line for signatures. Palin, in a bright red jacket and black pants, gave a quick wave to the audience before being whisked behind a staff door.

At 5:42 p.m., she popped back out, ducked behind the black curtain and the line of waiting fans began moving. Palin’s daughters Willow and Piper were with the former Alaska governor.

Pundits are watching today’s stop because of its political significance, as Iowa's presidential nominating caucuses are on the calendar for February 6, 2012.

The New York Times observed that the crowd she drew was was "at least five times the number of people who turned out" at the same bookstore the previous week for Newt Gingrich.

Gov. Palin deflected questions asked her by The Des Moines Register about "when she planned to decide whether she will run in 2012."

According to the Associated Press, she insisted that the book signing event "was not for political purposes."

Iowa blogger Shane Vander Hart, who attended the Des Moines event, believes that "if she should choose to run she could do very well in Iowa."

Palin fans brave cold to meet her at Tulsa book signing

Gov. Palin arrived at the Mardel Christian Bookstore in Tulsa Friday nearly 25 hours after the line began forming. About 500 hardy souls had braved the cold weather and camped out in the parking lot overnight. Inside the store, the line snaked around the aisles, according to a Tulsa World report:

Some wore Palin buttons and hats, while others stood on bookshelves trying to get a glimpse of her.

"She fascinates people," said Gilles Mingasson, a French photographer for the magazine Paris Match.

Mingasson and Match's U.S. bureau chief, Oliver O'Mahony, followed Palin from her book signing earlier this week in Arizona to Friday's appearance in Tulsa. They'll continue to follow her into Nebraska and Iowa and perhaps longer, Mingasson said.

At Friday's signing, Palin sat at a table in the rear of the store. She sounded cheerful as she chatted with supporters, often asking their names and how they were doing. Her daughter Piper handed out bookmarks.

One thousand people lined up in front of a Daytona Beach bookstore Monday hopping to get a chance to meet Sarah Palin and get their copies of her Going Rogue memoir signied:

Palin fans waited for their wristbands to gain access to the signing on Friday. Those who show up without wristbands will be turned away.

"Going Rogue" has been on the New York Times best-sellers list for 11 weeks in a row.

Palin will also speak at an event at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach Monday night.

The former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, also drew crowds everywhere she went while she attended the Daytona 500 Sunday.

Daytona Beach book signing pushed back to Monday

According to The Daytona Beach News Journal, Sarah Palin's book signing has been rescheduled from Saturday, Feb. 13 to Monday, Feb. 15:

Sarah Palin -- who was slated to sign copies of her book "Going Rogue" in Daytona Beach this weekend -- will instead be autographing on Monday morning.

There are also more tickets available to hear her speak at a Chamber of Commerce dinner that night.

The former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee will now be at the Volusia Mall Books-A-Million signing books from noon to 3 p.m. Monday.

At 9 a.m. Friday, the store will begin distributing 900 wristbands (one per person) at the street entrance of the bookstore. Only two books per wristband can be signed by Gov. Palin due to time limitations.

Just four hours after the book signing event concludes, Sarah Palin will address the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce's dinner Monday night, 7 PM at the Ocean Center.

In response to "overwhelming" demand for tickets to her speech, the Chamber has increased the number of passes available to include 2,000 to 3,000 mezzanine seats in the Ocean Center's main arena, but the $40 tickets do not include the meal. If you want to purchase mezzanine seats, call Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000.

Sarah Palin Book Signing Saturday in Daytona Beach

Sarah Palin must have figured that she would have too much time on her hands this weekend in Florida. Even though she's attending the Daytona 500 race Sunday and speaking to the Daytona Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Monday, she's added a third event in the area -- a book signing -- to her calendar for Saturday.

The governor will sign copies of her Going Rogue memoir at the Volusia Mall Books-A-Million store from 7PM to 10PM the night of February 13th.

The bookseller has announced the following event guidelines:

1. Limited number of wristbands will be distributed beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, 2/12 at the Volusia Mall Books-A-Million. Customers can line up outside the street entrance of Books-A-Million.
   
2. One wristband per person. Children under the age of 10 do not need a wristband.
   
3. Max. 2 copies of Going Rogue per wristband will be signed with no personalization.
   
4. Memorabilia or additional items cannot be signed.
   
5. Photos/video of any kind will not be allowed in the signing area.
   
6. Please leave large bags and backpacks at home or in your car. You will be required to hand over cell phones, cameras and bags before reaching the signing table. Only copies of Going Rogue will be allowed in the signing area.
   
7. Books-A-Million will close at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and only those customers with wristbands will be allowed entrance.

Big crowd turns out for Sarah Palin's Wasilla book event

A crowd of 1,000 turned out at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center in Sarah Palin's hometown of Wasilla to get their copies of the former Alaska governor's best-selling memoir signed.

Anchorage Daily News reporter Zaz Hollander described the scene at the spacious sports complex as more of a homecoming than a book signing:

Sarah Palin got treated like a homecoming queen when she brought her national book tour to Wasilla today.

Palin got a rousing welcome from about 750 people waiting below when she strode up the ramp to the second floor of the sports center at 11 a.m., wearing black boots with 4-inch heels and a red jacket covered in raised cloth roses.

The event Tuesday marked the first chance for the general public to attend a Palin book-signing in Alaska. Earlier this month, Palin signed copies at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage and Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks, but neither of those events were open to the general public.

Palin signed books on the upper floor of the sports center with her husband, Todd. Fans waited in lines downstairs, and then were ushered upstairs in small groups during the three-hour event.

Sarah Palin Draws Crowds and Impresses Conservatives

Becky Tescher-Robison, a reporter for the Yellowstone County News, went to the Going Rogue book signing in Billings, MT. Here are a few of her thoughts on the event, courtesy of the Big Sky Business Journal:

Sitting behind a square table was an animated and delightful Sarah Palin. She shook hands with everyone, looked each person in the eye and spoke to them in her now recognizable brogue, signing her signature without watching what she was doing. Sitting beside her, husband Todd shook everyone’s hand also and talked to every kid — as did she.

Todd Palin later milled through the receptive crowd, talking with them and with his father-in-law and mother-in-law.

The Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center should provide plenty of space for a book signing event, even for Sarah Palin, who is known to be able to draw huge crowds. The complex occupies 102,000 square feet of Alaska's Mat-Su Valley.

Update: The Frontiersman reports that books will not be available for purchase at this event, so BYOB (Bring Your Own Book).
