To the hard working, patriotic, selfless union brothers and sisters in Ohio and throughout our country: I believe that Issue 2 is needed reform. It will help restore fairness to Ohio taxpayers and help balance the budget.
As a former card-carrying IBEW sister married to a proud former Laborers, IBEW, and later USW member, I’m encouraging Ohioans to vote YES on Issue 2. Get the facts at www.BetterOhio.org.
KENTUCKY’S TODD P’POOL FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL
Todd P’Pool is a new conservative leader for Kentucky. Todd is a dedicated public servant in Hopkins County and a community leader focused on building a better future for Kentucky. We can count on Todd P’Pool as Attorney General to stand up and defend our Constitution, to take on the entrenched special interests, fight against Obamacare, and stop Obama’s EPA from destroying jobs.
Please join me in supporting Todd P’Pool for Attorney General. Learn more about Todd at www.toddppool.com.

Gov. Palin is in the last hour of signing books in Cincinnati. Here are excerpts from a report by the Cincinnati Enquirer:
David Richardson said he has never before done anything like it.And here's a clip from the package aired early this morning on Fox 19 (WXIX-TV):
Not for Reds or Bengals tickets. Not to see a favorite band. Not even for Black Friday Christmas bargains.
But Thursday night, the 66-year-old Loveland man camped outside, braving temperatures in the 20s and snow flurries for the chance to meet former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin today when she signs her new book, "America By Heart," at the Harper's Point Kroger in Symmes Township.
Palin arrived at the Kroger shortly before 11 a.m., saying she was enjoying the "Alaska-like" weather and "just so happy and blessed" to be in Greater Cincinnati.
"There are good, hard-working Americans here looking for answers to some of the country's challenges," Palin said, while dozens of waiting supporters snapped photos. "So it feels very good to be here."
Although she has drawn enthusiastic crowds since her 2008 campaign as GOP Republican presidential nominee John McCain's running mate, Palin said she still is humbled by the sight of hundreds of people waiting to see her.
"You have no idea how humbling," she said. "I just feel very blessed that we have a platform we can use to try to help do good for the people."

When the Tea Party Express rolls into Toms River, News Jersey Sunday night, Sarah Palin most likely won't be on the bus, as had been previously reported by the Asbury Park Press:
"Her staff has recently indicated that she will not be coming, so unless we hear otherwise, we're assuming she will not attend," Levi Russell, communications director for the Tea Party Express, said in an e-mail tonight. "There has been a lot of speculation and rumors that she may be there — really don't know what the source is — certainly not from the Tea Party Express."Gov. Palin also will probably be absent from a bus tour Saturday stop in Ohio, according to a report in the Columbus Dispatch:
[...]
Steve Lonegan, state director of Americans for Prosperity and a former Republican gubernatorial candidate, had sent out an e-mail blast — a large number of e-mails sent at once — mail to followers about an anticipated Palin visit to generate a big turnout in Toms River while Tea Party followers enthusiastically sent similar e-mails to get their supporters to come out.

Will former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin show up when the Tea Party Express hits central Ohio on Saturday?Bill Cohen of station WCPN had reported on October 19 that the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate would make an appearance at the Columbus rally.
"Most likely not," say the organizers of the event. They have also pointed out that the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee sometimes appears with little notice.

SarahPAC contributes to Bill Johnson in OH-6 race
*
Youngstown television station WYTV reports that Sarah Palin is getting involved in the Ohio Sixth Congressional District race for the U.S. House:
Ohio's 6th congressional district was Gerrymandered in 2002 to create a safe Democratic seat for the then-incumbent Rep. Ted Strickland. It runs along the state's southeast borders with Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania from Lucasville, through several Ohio River industrial towns, to the Youngstown city limits.

Youngstown television station WYTV reports that Sarah Palin is getting involved in the Ohio Sixth Congressional District race for the U.S. House:
The former vice presidential candidate donated $3,500 to the campaign of Republican Bill Johnson of Poland. Johnson is running against against Democratic Congressman Charlie Wilson. This is one of the races targeted in SarahPAC's "Take Back The 20" initiative, in which Gov. Palin has identified 20 lawmakers who voted for ObamaCare and represent districts she and John McCain carried in the 2008 presidential election.
Johnson received the contribution from Palin's political action committee, known as SarahPAC. Johnson won his party's nomination in May to challenge Wilson for the Sixth District seat in November.

When Sarah Palin put her book tour together, she scheduled two Ohio stops -- Cincinnati and Columbus. She's returning to Columbus Friday to keynote a fundraiser for Ohio Right to Life, and, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Michael McIntyre, the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate will be in the Cleveland area of that key swing state Saturday at the Gates Mills home of insurance executive and Republican donor Umberto Fedeli for a benefit luncheon to raise even more money for the state and Cleveland Right to Life chapters:

Palin and about 100 invitees (most of whom will pay $2,500 apiece) will enjoy a meal in Fedeli's personal trattoria prepared by guest chef Carl Quagliata of Giovani's Ristorante. Palin will share her anti-abortion views and pose for photographs.Gov. Palin has also helped raise money for right to life organizations in Indiana and Wisconsin, delivering well-attended keynote speeches at major events in those states.
[...]
"Anything that helps promote what I feel is the most precious gift, which is that of life, I am happy to do," said Fedeli, who was quick to note he's not quite ready to back a candidate for the 2012 Republican nomination.
"Some people really like her. Some people don't. She's not coming in to be president she is coming in to help the pro-life cause," Fedeli said. "She is extremely charismatic, very charming, warm and personable."

Sarah Palin wants to turn the political tide in Ohio

Politico's David Catanese says if you look at where Sarah Palin is putting her PAC money, she has Ohio on her mind:
Four of the 17 candidates Palin contributed to hail from Ohio — the state where she held by far the most presidential campaign events in 2008, according to The Washington Post’s candidate tracker.Catanese quotes a GOP source who says that Gov. Palin believes there is a real chance to make a difference in Ohio.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee gave $5,000 to former GOP Rep. John Kasich, who’s running for Ohio governor; $3,500 to former Rep. Rob Portman, who’s running for the state’s open Senate seat; $1,000 to Rep. Jean Schmidt; and $1,000 to state auditor Mary Taylor, whom Kasich recently tapped to be his running mate.
Another source, Hamilton County GOP Chairman Alex Triantafilou said:
"It makes sense to me that she may be looking to a future where Ohio matters to her, and if she’s building support, I think it’s great. We’ve got an incumbent governor in Ted Strickland who is very vulnerable, so perhaps she sees where her dollars can make a difference."A poll taken last month by Wenzel Strategies showed Kasich with a 10-point lead over Gov. Ted Strickland. Portman was leading both potential opponents (Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher and Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner) by six points. Fritz Wenzel says his findings are similar to a Rasmussen Reports poll taken just a week prior to when his survey was conducted.

C-Span has a video segment on the Palin book-signing at a bookstore in Ohio..
A brief overview of the segment:
Sarah Palin signs copies of her book, Going Rogue: An American Life at Joseph Beth Booksellers in Cincinnati. BookTV visits the bookstore and records Gov. Palin's opening remarks, talks to attendees in line at the signing, and discusses the coordination and preparation for the event with the store's marketing and event coordinator.Given the interviews at the beginning of the filmed segment, this should cause the Democrats to pause and think long and hard on what Palin represents...
