16 'Take Back the 20' seats are in the 'Field of 64'

*
In March, Gov. Palin designated her "Take Back the 20" list of 20 targeted U.S. House seats currently held by Democrats in Districts that voted for the McCain-Palin presidential ticket in 2008. Yesterday, she announced the SarahPAC rollout of a new website devoted exclusively to flipping those seats.

NBC’s Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, and Domenico Montanaro maintain their own list of mercurial Congressional seats on the "First Read" political page -- the "Field of 64." It's a list of the 64 House seats the three political mavens consider most likely to switch parties in the fall. The lower the number, the more likely they consider the seat to flip.

We were curious and decided to compare the two lists. It turns out that no less than 16 of Gov. Palin's "Take Back the 20" targeted House seats are on the most recent "Field of 64" list:
1. TN-06 Likely R (Diane Black)
4. AR-02 Likely R (Tim Griffin)
10. CO-04 Leans R (Corey Gardner)
11. FL-24 Leans R (Sandy Adams)
15. VA-05 Leans R (Robert Hurt)
17. AZ-05 Toss Up (David Schweikert)
18. OH-16 Toss Up (Jim Renacci)
21. PA-03 Toss Up (Mike Kelly)
23. AZ-01 Toss Up (Paul Gosar)
24. FL-02 Toss Up (Steve Southerland)
30. ND-AL Toss Up (Rick Berg)
31. SC-05 Toss Up (Mick Mulvaney)
46. IN-09 Toss Up (Todd Young)
50. CO-03 Toss Up (Scott Tipton)
55. AZ-08 Toss Up (Jesse Kelly)
56. WV-01 Toss Up (David McKinley)
But that's not all. Gov. Palin has endorsed candidates in three additional congressional Districts that are on the NBC pundits' flip list, although not on the "Take Back the 20" list:
22. IL-11 Toss Up (Adam Kinzinger)
53. WI-07 Toss Up (Sean Duffy)
54. AL-02 Toss Up (Martha Roby)
Of course, nothing can be taken for granted 39 days from the November election, and a lot of work remains to be done to secure victory for these 19 Palin-endorsed candidates, Still, the mood and enthusiasm of the grassroots bodes well for taking back not just the 20, but a number of House seats - enough to take away Nancy Pelosi's gavel.

Update: More encouraging news for Gov. Palin's "Take Back the 20" campaign and the wider GOP effort to regain control of the house from Ed Morrissey:
Via Taegan Goddard, who notes that Glen Bolger is a GOP pollster, with the understandable implication that he may be somewhat inclined toward irrational exuberance. Bolger brings the numbers to support his conclusion of a building wave that may be more massive than people have predicted. Traditionally safe Democratic seats won’t be impacted as much, but anything competitive has a strong chance of flipping to the GOP:
Last week, I conducted a national survey for American Action Network. The two key political environment questions show the significant opportunity Republicans have this year. While the overall numbers on the President’s approval rating and the generic ballot are good news, one key crosstab highlights the wave that is building.

The generic ballot shows Republicans leading 44%-39%. Besides all of the usual regional crosstabs, we also broke it out by the type of district. We looked at the sample in the 66 Democratic INCUMBENT districts that Charlie Cook lists as either toss-up or leaning Democratic at the time of the survey. In that key crosstab of Swing Democratic Incumbent Seats, the Republican lead grows to 49%-31% on the generic ballot. That is a very powerful crosstab that says the wave is coming.

[...]
Given that the overall generic gap falls into the middle of most polling these days, this seems at least a reasonable outcome from the polls.

[...]

Bolger... predicts a massive sweep from western Pennsylvania to the Rockies for Republicans, and one that rolls down into the South as well.
Ed's conclusion from all of this is that it's beginning to look a lot like 1994.

Palin stalker compares her to Nazis on NBC's 'Today'

*
Sarah Palin stalker and new neighbor Joe McGinniss appeared on the National Barack Channel (NBC) Tuesday morning, and "Today" show host Matt Lauer did his worst to gin up sympathy for the Anti-Palin writer, as McGinness played the victim and Nazi cards from his stacked deck. NewsBuster Geoffrey Dickens reports:
After Lauer noted the author was receiving "death threats" McGinniss screeched "It's a lesson for the American people of the power Palin has to incite hatred and her willingness and readiness to do it." McGinniss went on to say that Palin's use of her Facebook page to condemn McGinniss was the "same kind of tactic that the Nazi troopers used in Germany."
Not exactly, Mr. McGinness. If you had bothered to read your history, what the Reich's troopers did was kill a multitude of people including six million Jews and others who were not considered to be among the elite by the brutal regime of Germany's National Socialist Workers Party. Incredible. The Palin-haters torch her church and then call her a Nazi. The act wasn't on a par with the Reichstag fire, but those who were responsible got away free and clear in both cases.

McGinness' hysterical nonsense is typical behavior for leftist Alinskyites when they paint themselves into a corner. Just more evidence that the Left knows its days of tearing down America are numbered. The only inciting of hatred going on is what McGinness and the rest of the Anti-Palin axis is trying to do to Sarah Palin, her family and supporters.

Another Palin-hatin' leftist's lie debunked

*
How desperate to smear Sarah Palin do these deranged leftists have to be to make such a ridiculous and obviously bogus charge?
This is the second day in a row that Mediaite’s gone for a goof on Palin and then had to walk it back.
Maybe Sarah Palin wasn’t quite the hit on The Tonight Show the other night that everyone thought she was! A contributor over at Daily Kos — who provides some impressive sound bona fides — says he attended the Leno taping on Monday and that the audience was not nearly as welcoming as it sounded to TV viewers later on that night.
And the inevitable update:
Update: A reader writes “I was there while visiting my sister in CA. He’s wrong, people were laughing and I didn’t notice anything strange. The sign was turned on when we were supposed to applaud and laugh.”
Also, NBC issued a statement Friday in contradiction of the Kos Kidz Kwazy Klaim:
"Neither the audio nor the laughs were enhanced for Sarah Palin's segments on 'The Tonight Show.'"
That's two leftist lies -- one spread by Huffington Post and the other by dKos -- shot down, one after another in rapid fashion.

How's that "making things up" working out for you, leftists?

Update: Moe Lane - "These people are simply *insane*":
"So, how far into Crazyland has the netroots gone when it comes to Sarah Palin? Let me put it this way: I now wait in breathless anticipation for the day that someone in the Online Left announces that they’re about to be given incontrovertible evidence that she’s secretly a Jew."

Sarah Palin to Guest on Second Night of Leno’s New Tonight Show

*
From Mediaite:
Leno is back with all new Tonight Shows starting one week from today, and the guest list is a mix of Olympics stars, celebrities, and yes, a very well-known former VP candidate.

Jamie Foxx and Lindsey Vonn are on night #1, while Palin is a guest Tuesday night. This isn’t Palin’s first Tonight Show appearance – she made a cameo on the Conan O’Brien version (with William Shatner) in a hilarious bit in December. One show she probably won’t be showing up on – the new (old) head-to-head Leno competitor, Late Show with David Letterman.
The first week's guest lineup for the newest revision of The Tonight Show is here.
