RedState's Erickson endorses Joe Miller

*
One day after Tea Party Express joined Sarah Palin in endorsing Joe Miller of Alaska for the U.S. Senate, RedState.com's Erick Erickson has also boarded Miller's bandwagon:
Joe has an uphill battle, but he is right on the issues. Murkowski is disputing his candidate comparison, but he is on the money.

Murkowski is opposed to full repeal of Obamacare.

Murkowski is pro-choice.

Murkowski did support TARP.

Murkowski is weak on border security.

Joe Miller stands on the opposite side of Murkowski on all those things.

Friends, we did great work getting rid of Bob Bennett. Now we need to do the same to Lisa Murkowski. Let’s join Sarah Palin and Joe Miller and keep cleaning up our own side before the Democrats try to tar and feather good conservatives with guilt by associating with the likes of Lisa Murkowski.
Joe is the underdog in this race, but with influential conservative voices speaking up to support him, the playing field is getting more even. Look what Todd Palin has started!

  1. Lisa Murkowski could have avoided this with 2 simple things:

    1. When Palin resigned, instead of criticizing her, Murkowski should have wished her well and acknowledged the evil of the left wing bloggers and ethics violation filers.

    2. When Palin wrote "death panels," Murkowski should have just zipped her lip instead of criticizing Palin again.

She violated the 11th commandment, and she dissed Palin. Both crimes are punishable by political death.

Bye, Lisa. Don't let that earmark funded door hit you in the behind on the way out. Palin is a hunter and it's RINO season in Alaska.

  2. I disagree, Patrick.

Murkowski could have avoided this by standing up for conservative principles.

You act like if she was just nice to Palin, then Palin would have endorsed her. Not so.

Palin spelled out the policy reasons why she's supporting Miller over Murkowski.

Even if Murk had not spoken ill of Palin, Palin still would endorse Miller over Murk based on policy differences.

IMO, based on Palin's other endorsements and her Facebook note endorsing Miller.

  3. Sorry Patrick,
I love your writings, but hrh's comments are right on the mark. Sarah Palin was going to endorse Joe Miller over Lisa Murkowski, regardless of weather or not Lisa criticized Sarah. Remember, Sarah, not too long after she launched her PAC, donated $5,000 to Lisa's campaign, simply because no one had stepped up to the plate to challenge Lisa and who had those conservative principles (re-check Sarah's Facebook post about her endorsing Miller). Now that Joe Miller has stepped up to the plate, and both Sarah and Todd have spent some time with him, Sarah is comfortable in endorsing him to challenge Lisa.

  4. Oh Todd. I am all for Todd running for President after Sarah, just like Hillary did after Bill. Senator and then President!

  5. Isn't Lisa Murkowski related to THE Murkowski that Sarah battled constantly while Governor? The leader of the "good ol'boy" network of Rino Republicans that she mentions in "Going Rogue"?
