Gov Palin: Bristol will know to trust but verify

*
Bristol Palin has confirmed the rumors that she has finally seen the light about the darkness of Levi Johnston:
"It's over. I broke up with him," Bristol Palin tells PEOPLE exclusively of her second try at an engagement to Levi Johnston, father of her 19-month-old son Tripp.
The eldest Palin daughter says she was really hit hard by the lack of remorse on Johnston's part:
"The final straw was him flying to Hollywood for what he told me was to see some hunting show but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family," she says. "He's just obsessed with the limelight and I got played."

Reps for Johnston did not return calls seeking comment.
Governor Palin says that Bristol has learned from life a lesson that Ronald Reagan was famous for teaching:
"I wish for Bristol to be able to move forward in life with her same forgiving, gracious, optimistic spirit, but from henceforth she'll know to trust but verify. Bristol is strong, she is independent, and she knows what is right for her son."

Bristol says she's not giving up hope of a safe and happy two-parent home for Tripp. "I have faith that I'll find it. Through this whole experience I know I need a man who's going to be completely honest with me and someone who loves me and Tripp and wants to be with him all the time. I also want someone who has religious beliefs and a good family."
Those are encouraging signs of maturity for this young lady. Kids are forced to grow up much too quickly in our media-dominated modern day society. Our prayers, as always, are with her and her family.

"Ricky Hollywood" ordered to pay child support

*
The AP reports that Palmer Superior Court Judge Judge Kari C. Kristiansen has ordered Levi Johnston -- aka Ricky Hollywood -- to make interim child support payments of $1,750 per month to Bristol Palin:
Johnston's payments are based on estimated income of $105,000 and are retroactive to May 2009. The payments are slightly lower for January through April 2009 because of Johnston's lower income.
The payments were calculated at one fifth of Johnston's adjusted annual income, as required by Alaska law.

Van Flein: Bristol Palin pleased with court ruling in child support case

*
A judge in Palmer, Alaska Thursday granted child support for Bristol Palin, set a trial date for further deliberations, and urged her and Levi Johnston to try to resolve their differences on their own:
Judge Kari C. Kristiansen encouraged Palin and Levi Johnston, both 19, to work with a judge who specializes in such matters in a settlement conference and not go to trial. She set a court date for Sept. 23-24.

Kristiansen approved child support for Palin retroactive to the day the child was born.
TMZ has reported that the judge ruled that Johnston must pay $1,688.42 a month in support, retroactive to their son Tripp's birth in December of 2008. Bristol had been seeking nearly $1,700 a month. Her lawyer, Thomas Van Flein, said:
"Bristol is pleased with the court rulings today and looks forward to resolving the remaining issues with Levi."
The hearing, which Bristol attended but Levi did not, lasted about 20 minutes. Judge Kristiansen told Rex Butler, Johnston's lawyer, that it would have been better if his client had participated.

The Circus Comes to Alaska: Two Judges Rule in Custody Case

- By Thomas Lamb

First to the posting of the custody files on the Anchorage Daily News (ADN)...

The ADN has become nothing more than a hack liberal website that is just one step above the fringe bloggers here in Alaska.

They are going to cover the circus that will take place in the custody battle between Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin.

And there are two judges that have had their hand in this circus that is about to take place...
