TheBlogProf caught most of Gov. Palin's Clarkston speech on video, and TheRightScoop has all of the segments collected in one post.
Glen Enloe has posted a favorable post about that Independence speech on the KC Star's Midwest Voices blog, and the libs are pounding him for it in the comments section. Seems that "progressives" won't tolerate any media narrative that doesn't try to destroy Sarah Palin. Progressives are about as tolerant of views opposed to their own as is the Taliban.
Update: Jesse Cornish has a firsthand account of Gov. Palin's Michigan speech here, and Michigan Capitol Confidential has a report here. has a not-up-close, but very personal account of the Wichita speech posted at C4P here. Nice Deb's videos of Gov. Palin's Independence speech are posted here.

The speeches Sarah Palin never delivered
*
Visit Top of the Ticket for Andrew Malcom's post on the two speeches, one of which Sarah Palin was to deliver on election night a year ago.
As is typical of the incompetent McCain campaign, the speeches were prepared for the vice presidential candidate to read and then introduce McCain to read his speech, but McCain's people decided that Palin shouldn't speak because it was "unprecedented" for a VP candidate to deliver a concession speech.
Only problem with that excuse is that vice presidential candidate John Edwards delivered a concession speech November 3, 2004 at Faneuil Hall in Boston, Massachusetts following the loss by the Kerry-Edwards ticket in that presidential election, so there was indeed a precedent for doing so.
We have to ask what the McCain people were afraid of? Did they think that Sarah Palin would walk up to the podium and tell the world what weasels Steve Schmidt and Co. really are?

Rush talks about Sarah for third day in a row
Some excerpts from Thursday's Rush Limbaugh Show:
"Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin this week will begin accepting and rejecting the more than 1,070 invitations she has received for paid speeches and political appearances since she resigned from office, aides said. Twenty speakers’ bureaus made offers to represent her. ... More than 950 requests for speeches have poured in for Palin, and over 120 candidates for office have asked her to appear, including folks running for Senate, House and state Legislature, aides said." It was just yesterday, Page Six in the New York Post ran a story from an unidentified source who said that nobody wants her. She's a blithering idiot. People are afraid to book her. She can't get request to do a speech. They're asking a hundred grand for speeches she can't get one invitation. There's a story last night from the mainstream media. Not even the mainstream media was buying it you don't get a $7 million advance from a liberal publishing company if nobody wants you.- JP
And then the latest news: "A publishing industry source [said] that they 'cannot remember a non-fiction book taking off like this in the pre-order market. It became number one only a couple of hours after nothing more than a date announcement. It is truly unprecedented.'" "Two days after the release date of Sarah Palin's book was announced, it's already become the top seller at both Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com," and it hasn't even gone to press yet, or maybe it's at press now. "Palin's publisher announced Monday that the former governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate had finished her memoir, 'Going Rogue: An American Life,' early and was moving the release date up from the spring to November 17. A Palin source told POLITICO that she 'is very grateful' for the strong early sales.
"'This book has taken off like a rocket,' the source said. HarperCollins will print 1.5 million copies for the book's first run, the same number that was printed for late Sen. Ted Kennedy's," whose I think the first week that book sold 68,000, Beck was twice that and now Sarah Palin's book."

Rush: 'They're just paranoid of this woman'
Sarah Palin's book is now #1 on Both Barnes and Noble and Amazon (it was #3 when Rush did his show earlier today), and it is driving the Left over the edge. They also cannot stand the fact that she has been paid some big bucks for her first appearance on the lecture circuit. Excerpts from Rush's comments:
New York Post, Page Six today, which admittedly is a gossip column, but nevertheless, the headline: "Sarah's Lectures a Tough Sell." Now, this sort of dovetails with what I was telling you yesterday, that the Democrats and the media will always tell us who they fear. They'll always tell us who they're really, really worried about, and they are on a mission that is unstoppable to destroy this woman and her family.- JP

Now, her book, 400 pages, she admits that she's got a ghostwriter. Obama did not admit that he had a ghostwriter and it's beginning to look like he did. The American Thinker has run two pieces now on how Bill Ayers wrote Dreams from My Father, or one of the two books. There have been examinations in the styles. Obama failed at writing anything prior to that. We've never seen anything else he's written but those two books. There have been a lot of people doing research into this, and the American Thinker's published a couple stories about it recently. But nevertheless Palin's book is number three on Amazon right now and it hasn't even been printed. Number three on Amazon, hasn't even gone to press yet. She turned it in four months early and we get this story in Page Six, "What a blithering idiot, nobody wants to book Palin for a lecture series." Well, they did in Hong Kong and from everything we read about it, it was a bang-up speech. They're just paranoid of this woman.

On the Barnes & Noble website, Sarah Palin's book is not set to be released for more than seven weeks but it has shot to #1 at Barnes & Noble. That puts it atop Dan Brown's new book and a book by Mitch Albom. It's #3 on Amazon. And the book is not out for seven weeks! Folks, this is going to drive them nuts. You know, the book publishing industry is notoriously leftist. It's going to drive everybody batty. I said yesterday -- 'cause I got some snarky note. "How're you going to feel, Rush, when she sells more books than you do?" I hope she sells five million copies because I want to see lunatics jump off the cliff! (laughing) They just can't stand it!
