Update: Ed Morrissey comments...
"If McGinniss wanted to write an unauthorized biography, he could certainly do that without moving in next door to the Palins. In fact, it’s hard to figure what McGinniss would learn from that kind of physical proximity that has anything to do with politics or activism that couldn’t be learned through regular research and footwork."

Sarah Palin: "How arrogant of our president..."

*
On Sean Hannity's radio program Friday, Sarah Palin said, "How arrogant of our president" to diss John McCain during Thursday's health care summit in Washington, D.C. She also said that if the Democrats use the reconciliation process to push through a big-government health care bill, it will be their "downfall" in the November mid-term elections. The 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate said that people in the Tea Party movement "will find ourselves in a world of hurt" if they try to form a third political party. She said that Ronald Reagan's model and the House GOP's 1994 Contract with America were "proven successes to getting our country back on the right track."

The former Alaska governor and Hannity had a good laugh about how liberals got "all wee-wee'd up" over the words she wrote on her hand the night of her Tea party Convention speech in Nashville. Gov. Palin told Hannity that she was looking forward to an April 7 event in Minnesota for Rep. Michele Bachmann, where both she and the talk radio host will appear. She included her children and husband Todd among the blessings from God that allow her to keep perspective in the midst of the continuing personal attacks made against her by her detractors.

Palin to Beck: "I decided I wanted to sleep well"

*
Sarah Palin was a guest on Glenn Beck's radio show Thursday, and she discussed Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts, the Tea Party movement and why she's campaigning for John McCain.

A couple of excerpts from the full transcript:
"I think these messages sent via Virginia, New Jersey, Scott Brown's race in Massachusetts [to] politicians in D.C., in the GOP, and those independents are saying, okay, we're not alone in this anyway, look at this rising up of the tea party movement, of activists saying... we want a shrinkage of government, not a growth of government. We want less intrusion in our lives from our government..."

[...]

"In politics you are either eating well or sleeping well. I decided I wanted to sleep well and that's why I've made a lot of the decisions that I have that, yeah, really booted me outside of any kind of machine or any kind of I guess comfort and security that you would have knowing that a political machine has your back and they'll come bail you out and they will come defend you and they will get on the air and they'll tell you, oh, what a great decision. I haven't had that luxury at all. But I sleep well at night because I know that I'm doing what is in my heart, my soul, my gut. I believe that I am connected to a whole lot of Americans who think the way that I think, common sense, conservative ideals and principles. I'm sleeping well and I want Scott Brown and other politicians to be in that same position."

Rumor Mill: Palin a Regular on Radio?

Inside Radio reports:
While not exactly shopping the GOP’s 2008 vice presidential candidate, sources say Palin representatives have been quietly testing the waters to see how much interest radio syndicators have for her.
It's a natural step for the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate to take. But not in a three-hour Rush Limbaugh format. Three-minute commentaries, however, would be perfect for Palin:
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s short-form commentaries air on more than 400 stations via Citadel Media. He remains among the names circulated for a potential presidential run in 2012.
Fred Thompson did the same thing for a while on ABC Radio with "The Fred Thompson Report." The short-form commentary format allowed Teh Fred to stake out his positions on the issues, which is exactly what Gov. Palin needs to do. Indeed, Allahpundit says:
What’s to "test"? She’ll draw the entire conservative base and a goodly chunk of the left as they tune in to channel the hate. Pay her whatever she wants and sign the deal.
In this case, at least, we have to agree with Allah. Radio is the perfect vehicle for Sarah Palin to exploit to establish her cred on national and world issues. Speaking his mind on the radio certainly didn't do Ronald Reagan any harm.

Sarah Palin loves radio

Two tweets last night from Gov. Palin make her media preferences unambiguous:
"Anxious for Fairbanks radio visit tomorrow re: 2nd Amendment! We have rockin' surprise guest. Candidly, I love radio vs some newspapers bc.."

"....'Most newspapermen by definition have to be liberal; if they're not, by my definition, they can hardly be good newspapermen' W. Cronkite"
We can only imagine how low television, specifically MSNBC, would rank on her list.
