The blood libel against Gov. Palin by the left and its media stooges is being conducted so fast and furiously that NewsBusters' editors and contributors have been keeping busy just trying to document all the smears. A roundup:

Mark Finkelstein wrote Tuesday about MSPDS' Ed "Sergeant" Shultz suggesting that Sarah Palin's use of the term blood libel was "an appeal to an extreme Christian conservative base for 2012."

Jack Coleman reports on leftist Bill Press appearing on fellow leftist Sgt. Schulz's show Thursday, saying Gov. Palin "looked like, like a Manchurian candidate."

Noel Sheppard catches MSPDS' Keith Olbermann bashing Sarah Palin on Tuesday for her silence on the Tuscon shootings and then bashing her on on Wednesday for not being silent.

Scott Whitlock watched "Good Morning America" host George Stephanopoulos and reporter Claire Shipman fretting over Gov. Palin's use of the blood libel. He also caught NBC reporter propagandist Andrea Mitchell striking her usual condescending tone when reporting on the governor, this time over her video message. Mitchell saw fit to mention that Gov. Palin was "apparently reading from a Teleprompter," but doesn't seem to consider it newsworthy when President Obama does the same.

Matthew Balan observes that the PDS displayed by Howard Beale Jack Cafferty "reached a new level" on Thursday's Situation Room on CNN, as the Cellar News Network's resident curmudgeon attacked the Mama Bear for her reply to the smear merchants.

Jack Coleman found left wing Sirius talker Thomm Hartmann's criticism of Sarah Palin ("She hasn't come out of her cave up there in Alaska. Sarah bin Palin, should we call her?") peculiar, coming as it did after Gov. Palin released her video statement. Tongue in cheek, Coleman quipped that Hartmann's attempt to equate the governor with terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden is almost like implying that Alaska isn't part of America "You know, like Hawaii, for example."

Mark Finkelstein watched as Vichy Republican Joe Scarborough engaged in some wishful thinking aloud on Morning Joe, as he claims that Sarah Palin's response to the Tuscon shootings "probably ended her political career." Wish we had a buck for every time a Palin-hater has made such a pompous, premature pronouncement.

Ken Shepherd did a little research and finds it interesting that although MSPDS has slammed Gov. Palin for using the term "blood libel," the leftist network has not always found its use a matter of self-righteous indignation. According to Shepherd, "There was no reaction from MSNBC's Chris Matthews in 2000 when Jack Kemp used the term to describe a harsh radio ad the NAACP had used against then-Gov. George W. Bush (R-Texas), nor in 2006 when Mike Barnicle used the term in reference to Sen. John Kerry having been criticized by a group of Vietnam War swift boat veterans." Go figure. You'd think MSPDS was hypocritically singling her out or something.

WaPo leftist loon Susan Jacoby attacks Bristol Palin

This is sure to make the Mama Grizzly sharpen her claws. Susan Jacoby, the atheist that the leftist Washington Post considers a proper contributor to its "On Faith" blog, has launched a personal attack on Sarah Palin's eldest daughter. Tim Graham reports via NewsBusters:

The "Spirited Atheist" of The Washington Post, Susan Jacoby, predictably trashed Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston as not only "poster children for the dumbing down of America" and as "most middle-class American parents' worst nightmare," but proof of what happens when religious people show off their contempt for book learning...

Women like Jacoby are truly angry that abortions didn't take place in the Palin family. They think it's shameless to have the baby, and stupid. The idea of promoting teenage abstinence to them is obviously, transparently, a scam, and the promotion of abstinence after a teenage pregnancy seems especially laughable.

But what grates most on conservative ears is the persistent contention that anyone who doesn't agree with atheist liberals must not read books.

Who does Jerkoby thinks buys all those conservative bestsellers like Liberty and Tyranny, Going Rogue and The Obama Diaries? Does she think we spend good money on them only to look at the photos on the covers?

"Liberal thinking" is an oxymoron. Liberal nastiness is a given.

Jeff Poor: Time’s Joe Klein Cheap Shots Sarah Palin...again

Jeff Poor is a NewsBuster, which means he watches the drooling leftists on MSNBC so we don"t have to. Whenever clueless Joe Klein appears on rabidly pro-Obama Chris Matthews' "Hairball" program, it's a given that the two snarky liberals will try to tag-kneecap Sarah Palin:

On the July 11 broadcast of his weekend show, Matthews and his panel analyzed Palin's "Mama Grizzlies" ad spot and attempted to determine what Palin's end goal was with the ad. And Time magazine's Joe Klein attributed credit to Palin's charismatic ability.

"The most important thing about Sarah Palin is that she's a great stand-up politician," Klein said. "I mean, when you hear her talk - this is not a woman who has sat in a room with a political consultant telling her how to pronounce words. It's just her voice."

"There's something in the inflection which is provocative," Matthews replied.

But then came the eventual expected cheap shot from Klein. Klein had once said Sarah Palin and Fox News host Glenn Beck should be tried for sedition on that same program and he didn't disguise his disdain for Palin on this episode either.

"But I think that's balanced against the fact that she doesn't know anything," Klein said. "And that's a big problem."

Klein is notorius for his comment that criticism of Obama by Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh was "close to being seditious."

PBS slams Gov. Palin on the taxpayers' dime

From NewsBuster Brad Wilmouth we learn that Satirist Andrew Borowitz went to the liberal well for another tired old leftist meme to attack Sarah Palin with Friday on PBS' "Need to Know" program:

"Sarah Palin will make it official: She has now written more books than she has read."

Though liberals like to argue that only about 15 percent of PBS' funding comes from the federal government, that amounted to a substantial $400 million for FY2009. Are we the only ones who are fed up with our taxpayer dollars being used to demean conservatives and spread PBS' leftist propaganda?
