Donate to SarahPAC, get a DVD of 'The Undefeated'

"It is absolutely critical that as many Americans as possible see this film- and soon."
*
SarahPAC is snail-mailing letters to the political action committee's prior donors offering an early-release DVD of “The Undefeated” for a contribution of $100 or more. The letters, signed by Sarah PAC Treasurer Tim Crawford, reference the great potential of Stephen Bannon's documentary to change many hearts and minds about Gov. Palin and calls on recipients to "stop letting the Palin haters and the national news media distort Sarah’s record especially now as America looks ahead to new leadership in 2012":
It is absolutely critical that as many Americans as possible see this film- and soon.

This documentary shatters the lies and distortions that have been spread by the biased media about Sarah Palin and her take-back-America brand of conservatism.

Day in and day out I hear Sarah denounced as “polarizing” and “extreme” by the national news media.

What are these “polarizing” things Sarah believes?

Well, like you and me, Sarah Palin believes that Americans should be able to choose their own doctor- not be forced into “Obamacare” against their will.

She believes that we need to start relying on our own natural resources instead of paying foreign dictators for oil.

She believes that every life is precious. That our Constitution doesn’t need to be rewritten by radical judges. And that Judeo-Christian values that our Founding Fathers embraced should still be our foundation today.

Those beliefs aren’t “polarizing”. They’re American.

And it’s time for patriots like you and me to stop letting the Palin haters and the national news media distort Sarah’s record especially now as America looks ahead to new leadership in 2012.

One way we can set the record straight is by making sure that millions of Americans see “The Undefeated”.
The FEC's six-month filing period for SarahPAC ends June 30. Donation to the leadership PAC can be made here.

The official website for "The Undefeated" is here. You can follow "The Undefeated on Facebook here and Twitter here.

Palin aides set the record straight on Bailey's bogus book

“Mr. Bailey has an axe to grind and abandoned truth in his book.”
*
Gov. Palin’s team is responding to allegations made in former aide Frank Bailey’s book Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin. Though the book will not be officially released until tomorrow, portion of it have been getting considerable exposure on left wing blogs for months. Politico's Andy Barr reports that Palin aides have commented that the purported tell-all “belongs on the fiction shelves”:
In their first comments about the book since several media outlets obtained a leaked manuscript in February, two sources close to Palin disputed several of the anecdotes in the book, including his claims of illegal coordination with the Republican Governors Association and that he has seen Palin’s deposition in the so-called “Troopergate” case, which is sealed. Palin’s camp also insists that some of the Palin emails printed in the manuscript are framed to distort events...

[...]

Palin aides also pointed to previous ethics charges against Bailey during his service to the ex-governor’s administration, as well as an ongoing investigation by the state attorney general’s office over the emails Bailey included in the book. Additionally, SarahPAC spokesman Tim Crawford highlighted Bailey’s book cover, which is a modified image. The original photo was of Palin standing next to other governors at an RGA event, not next to Bailey.

“Frank Bailey was the only member of the Palin administration to be forced to [receive ethics training after being found to] have acted unethically – twice,” Crawford said. “He is currently under investigation again by the state attorney general. Then, as the administrator of certain email accounts, he acted unethically by appropriating account information he was entrusted to protect.”

“Gov. Palin suspended Bailey and refused to hire Bailey when he sought a position on her vice presidential campaign staff and later with SarahPAC. Mr. Bailey has an axe to grind and abandoned truth in his book. The cover of the book tells this story, two completely different photos twisted and Photoshopped to create a fraudulent image. The book belongs on the fiction shelves.”

Crawford: Palin decision to pass on debate says nothing about 2012

It doesn't mean that she's not running
*
NRO's Katrina Trinko reports at The Corner that Gov. Palin’s decision to keynote a charity event benefitting military families in Colorado rather than take part in the first GOP presidential primary debate does not mean that she will not run for president in 2012, according to one of the governor's top aides:
“It has nothing to do with a decision [about running for president in 2012]. The Governor said the other day that she will make a decision about that in the coming months,” Tim Crawford, the treasurer of Palin’s PAC, told National Review Online.

Palin will be the keynote speaker at the Colorado Christian University’s “Tribute to the Troops” event, which the university describes as “a military and veterans appreciation rally and charity benefit.” The benefit will be held in Lakewood, Colo. on May 2, the same day Politico and NBC News have scheduled the first GOP debate at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, Calif.
Hmmm. Help raise funds for the families of our fallen troops, or be a party to a rigged debate with questions from two slobbering Obama enablers from the leftist media? That was an easy choice for for any Reagan conservative, Reagan Library not withstanding. Honor the troops, not the Democrat/Media Complex.

An email from SarahPAC's Tim Crawford

Friends,

I’m writing today in hopes that you will take just one minute right now to help me plan a special surprise for Governor Sarah Palin in honor of her birthday on Friday by giving a gift to SarahPAC today.

Your gift will be a welcome surprise on Sarah’s birthday, especially in the wake of the increasingly vicious attacks from her enemies on the Left.

For example, Hollywood writer Aaron Sorkin recently wrote a column denouncing Governor Palin as “deranged,” a “witless bully,” and a “phony pioneer girl.”

Talk-show host Oprah Winfrey said “the intelligence of the American public” will keep Sarah from ever being elected President.

And MSNBC’s Chris Matthews called her a “balloon head” on national TV.

Just like Ronald Reagan before her, Governor Palin is despised by the Left because she freely admits her faith in God, is unabashedly proud of America, and fights to limit the long arm of the federal government when it comes to our freedoms and our families.

  • Sarah Palin is proud of America – not ashamed of our greatness.
  • She puts her trust in the U.S. Constitution – not in politicians.
  • She thinks you should get to choose your own doctor, what kind of car you drive, and what kind of light bulbs you’ll use in your house – not government bureaucrats.
  • She’s willing to fight the War on Terror – not surrender it to enemies abroad and Islamic radicals right here on our own soil who hate us.
  • And she understands that cutting taxes and repealing ObamaCare will do more to strengthen our economy than handing out billions in “bail-out” dollars to businesses and people who didn’t earn it.

Frankly, Sarah Palin is a threat to liberals who make their living off of a bloated, out-of-control federal government.

That’s why they attack her. It’s why they call her names. Why they want her to fail.

And it’s why I’m counting on you to give a gift to SarahPAC for Governor Palin today to let her know that you are still standing by her side in the face of these relentless attacks.

Nothing is more important to Sarah right now than making sure SarahPAC has the funds it needs to help elect more common-sense conservatives in 2011, including candidates in critical state races, special elections, and run-offs.

Three crucial governor races alone will make this a key year for conservatives.

Can Sarah count on you to help her elect lawmakers who will obey the U.S. Constitution, not re-write it?

If so, please send your best gift possible to help SarahPAC continue the conservative revolution we started in 2010.

I want you to know how much I appreciate your taking the time to help me honor Governor Palin on her birthday this week. And more importantly, thank you for your patriotism and your willingness to step forward and help her support pro-Constitution candidates now when so much is at stake for our nation!

Yours truly,

Tim Crawford

SarahPAC's Tim Crawford: We Have Been Attacked

Please stand with SarahPAC
*

Friends,

As many of you may already know, recently a network of Wikileaks-sympathizing hackers orchestrated crippling, albeit temporary, cyber-attacks on the websites of patriotic, law-abiding organizations around the country, including SarahPAC.com. It is widely believed that the same ad-hoc group of international cyber-criminals took down the websites of many organizations that terminated their business relationships with Wikileaks after their latest dump of compromising and classified US government information. These organizations include iconic American companies such as Visa and MasterCard as well as dotcom giants such as Amazon and Ebay’s PayPal.

The actions taken by Wikileaks’ supporters against these respected American companies show that their true intent is far from noble, and exposes their utter disregard for the collateral damage and financial fallout that resulted from their denial of service attacks. These reckless attacks on major transaction processors during the Christmas season added uncertainty to an already fragile economy and cost them money and resources that could have otherwise been used to grow their businesses and create new jobs.

These malicious hackers targeted major American companies simply for their refusal to participate in the degradation of America’s ability to engage in diplomacy and the direct endangerment of our troops through the release of thousands of battlefield reports. Gov. Palin quickly and unapologetically spoke out against the illegal and irresponsible acts that Wikileaks explicitly exists to perpetrate. After her comments, SarahPAC.com immediately became another target for cyber-attack by Wikileaks’ unofficial hacker-accomplices. In the name of defending free speech, the hackers, alleged to operate under the collective branding of ‘Anonymous’, decided to punish Gov. Palin for hers by flooding SarahPAC.com with a torrent of web traffic in order to make the website inaccessible to supporters.

The twisted logic of these self-styled advocates for free speech doesn’t seem to differentiate between releasing millions of sensitive US government documents with the intent of degrading our nation’s security and standing, and criticizing those who do so. Few times in our history have we, as a nation, faced so many security threats from such a varied and unpredictable array of rogue nations, terrorist organizations, and depraved individuals, and yet these self-styled ‘hacktivists’ are so committed to the continued release of our state secrets that they have decided to use their considerable ‘talents’ to punish those who dare speak out against the reckless endangerment of our republic through espionage.

SarahPAC was forced to spend some of our resources restoring functionality to our website and defending against future attacks, but we won’t allow our commonsense conservative message to be silenced by a few malcontents. Please help us continue to support solid conservative candidates around the country by donating $50, $75, or $100 to SarahPAC.

The illegally obtained information contained within the State Department cable leaks is already damaging our diplomats’ ability to advance American interests abroad and the Afghanistan and Iraq war document leaks represent a goldmine of intelligence for our most dangerous enemies to use against our troops on the battlefield. Please stand with SarahPAC against the reprehensible and downright dangerous acts of the Wikileaks organization and the cyber-intimidation of its misguided hacker allies.

Sincerely,

Tim Crawford

SarahPAC rakes in the contributions (Updated)

Over $3Nearly $5 million this year
*
According to Treasurer Tim Crawford, SarahPAC raised $469,000 between Oct. 13 and Nov. 22, pushing the Sarah Palin political action committee's total contributions for the the year over the $3 million mark, reports Jay Newton-Small at TIME's political blog Swampland:
Crawford attributed the surge of funds to energy surrounding the midterm elections, Palin's endorsements and her TLC reality show “Sarah Palin's Alaska.” Her second book, America By Heart, came out Nov. 23.

The PAC spent $64,000 buying advance copies of her books, “just as we did last year” with her first book, Going Rogue, Crawford said. “They're a great fundraising tool for us.” Palin is in the midst of a two-week cross-country book tour.

Overall the PAC spent $581,000 between Oct. 13 and Nov. 22. A larger percentage than normal was spent on contributions to political candidates, $244,000, as Palin tried to help her 81-endosed candidates over the Nov. 2 finish line. Fifty-five of them won.
Crawford says all of the $469,000 was raised online or through direct mail. There have been only two SarahPAC fundraisers this year, while Mitt Romney's PAC has held nine.

Updates...

TIME has its numbers wrong. The yearly SarahPAC total is actually near the $5 million mark. (See comments)

From Ballot Box, The Hill's campaign blog:
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's reported haul of some $469,000 over the past month and a half easily tops the total cash pulled in by the federal PACs of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, both rumored GOP presidential contenders in 2012.
