McMahon Campaign Hits Grimm For Taking 'Jewish Money' (Updated)

*
This is bizarre:
Mike Grimm, a G.O.P challenger for Mike McMahon's Congressional seat, took in over $200,000 in his last filing.

But in an effort to show that Grimm lacks support among voters in the district, which covers Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn, the McMahon campaign compiled a list of Jewish donors to Grimm and provided it to The Politicker.

The file, labeled "Grimm Jewish Money Q2," for the second quarter fundraising period, shows a list of over 80 names, a half-dozen of which in fact do hail from Staten Island, and a handful of others that list Brooklyn as home.

"Where is Grimm's money coming from," said Jennifer Nelson, McMahon's campaign spokeman. "There is a lot of Jewish money, a lot of money from people in Florida and Manhattan, retirees."

[...]

Reached by phone, Grimm, who is part-Italian, part-German, said he was proud of his Jewish support and said he was disturbed to hear that the McMahon campaign compiled a seperate list of his Jewish donors.

"The fact that a U.S. Congressman would seperate out any group by religion or even by ethnicity is nothing short of outrageous," he said. "This goes beyond politics."
So how exactly does "Jewish money" differ from standard U.S. currency? Perhaps someone in the McMahon campaign can enlighten us.

Sarah Palin endorsed Mike Grimm just yesterday, and apparently not a day too soon. This McMahon character needs to go. Meanwhile, Grimm's opponent on the GOP side doesn't sound like much of a prize either.

Update: Nelson has been fired and is in quarantine under the bus for Foot-In-Mouth Disease.

Post on Politics: Allen West collects $1.4M in Q2

*
According to The Palm Beach Post, the Palin-endorsed campaign of Congressional candidate Allen West in FL-22 raised $1.4 million during the second quarter of 2010:
That tops the campaign’s previous best quarter, which was $838,000 during the first three months of the year.

The totals mean West has collected a total of $3.5 million for his campaign and has $2.2 million on hand.
A very interesting coincidence - Gov. Palin gave Col. West her endorsement on March 29. The second quarter of the calendar year began only three days later.

Just sayin'...

Gov. Palin endorses CeCe Heil in TN-05

*
On her Facebook Notes page, Sarah Palin has endorsed CeCe Heil for the U.S. House of Representatives:
CeCe Heil for Tennessee’s 5th District

I’m pleased to lend my support to CeCe Heil’s campaign for Congress from Tennessee’s 5th District. CeCe is another tough “mama grizzly” with the experience, passion, and integrity to restore some common sense to Washington. As a small business owner, attorney, constitutional scholar, and proud mother of two, she will fight tirelessly to protect our freedoms and rein in the excesses of an out-of-control federal government that seems set on spending away our children’s future. CeCe brings the business sense and the constitutional understanding that is so needed in DC right now. (And those of you who follow the music scene in Nashville will recognize the name of CeCe’s husband, Rick Heil, from his band Sonicflood.)

Please join me in supporting CeCe Heil’s campaign by visiting her website at www.ceceforcongress.com and following her on Facebook and Twitter.

- Sarah Palin
As with many of the congressional candidates Gov. Palin has endorsed, Heil is considered a long shot in what is seen as a "safe" district for the Democrats. The last Republican to represent the district was elected in 1873. Jim Cooper has held the seat since 2003. The 5th includes most of Davidson County and parts of Wilson and Cheatham Counties, with most of the district's population centered in Nashville. Heil is one of eleven Republicans vying for the GOP congressional nomination this year. The primary election will be August 5.

When Dr. Dan Met Sarah

*
Dr. Dan Benishek is a general surgeon and a GOP candidate for U.S.Congress representing Michigan's 1st congressional district, the seat held by Democrat Bart Stupak, who has announced that he will not seek reelection. The paths of Benishek and Sarah Palin merged over the weekend at the Defending the American Dream Summit with Sarah Palin, today in Clarkston, MI:
“Governor Palin is a common sense conservative who has challenged the status quo and energized a new kind of activist within our party,” said Dr. Benishek, “Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious.”

[...]

Having spoken with Dr. Dan at length, I know his values and Sarah’s are parallel, and they are able to strike a chord with honest, hard-working people, us regular Joes and Janes who see what is happening to this country, and feel compelled to help change it.

I don’t know if everyone is thinking the same thing at the same time, but during her speech... Sarah said, “You guys are saying, like I am, enough is enough. We’re taking it back. We’re gonna put our government back on the side of the people. We’re changing the face of government one rally, one vote, one election at a time. Some of the things the left is doing can be seen as a plus because it’s getting us riled up, getting us united.”

Enough is enough, just happens to be the slogan of the Benishek candidacy.

Senators, Congressmen About to be Palinated

Senators and Congressmen around the country who are standing up to Obama and the liberal plant machine are about to become Palinated.

Representative Wilson of South Carolina, who yelled “You LIE!” at Obama during his narcissistic speech of "You MUST have health care or else" was booed and hissed and yelled at after Wilson said it. Now, many forget Harry Reid did this as well to G.W.Bush in 2003.  Hmmm... liberals and that short memory thing.  And now Arlen Specter is calling for the censure of Wilson?  Maybe Specter should go climb in a hole as we all know he is about to get kicked out of his seat via the voters.

But unlike Reid who wasn’t thought of after the fact, I have a feeling Joe Wilson will be Palinated for this.

As we support not just Sarah Palin, but all those who stand up for the people of the United States, it is time to back others who ARE standing up!

Joe Wilson
Michelle Bachmann
Dick Cheney
Liz Cheney
Michael Steele

These individuals are trying. They ARE getting a message out. Those who are standing on the sidelines need to get into the game and start blocking for the ball carrier. You only have one chance to make the team, and that chance is coming.

There are a few who are speaking out but not getting coverage, no thanks to the Democrat-Media Complex.

Rep. Dr. Paul Broun is one of them. At the townhalls he lets it fly! This is someone to keep an eye on in the future.

Speak up for those who are speaking out.  We like to keep tabs.
