Book Deal Deja Vu

From Washingtonian.com:
Alaska’s Republican governor, Sarah Palin, has retained DC Democratic power player Robert Barnett to sell her presumed memoir of the 2008 campaign. The expected seven-figure book advance will make it easier for Palin to pay for travel to the “lower 48” for political events and then a presidential run.

The book could put Palin into a 2012 race with President Obama, who used the same lawyer and the same strategy—a big advance and a book—in part to back his early campaign efforts.
Gee, that sounds strangely familiar. I had to check the date on the article to make sure that it wasn't just this old thing from Reuters dated January 22 being dredged up:
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - It looks as though Sarah Palin may be ready to tell her story in print.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate apparently has enlisted the help of superstar Washington attorney Robert Barnett, who has brokered book deals for such political A-listers as President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Greta Van Susteren debunked that one, as we reported, but the rumor caused quite a stir at the time.

So now we have the same players, same 7-digit figure, only with a different source. I certainly hope it's true. No one deserves a handsome payout for a campaign memoir more than Sarah Palin, considering how she and her family were mistreated by the Left, its captive media and even those inside Team McCain who were supposed to have been defending her.

Let's see if this gets confirmed by Meghan Stapleton or another trusted source close to the governor.
