Quote of the Day (July 24, 2011)

Reading Paul Krugman so that you don’t have to.
*
Moe Lane:
“I was there for 2008: the race only started looking close when Sarah Palin came along. It took the American economy melting down – and John McCain’s in-retrospect stupid response to it – to put it away for President Obama, sure… but Sarah Palin was the only thing that gave that campaign any internal energy at all. This should have been well known, even to those associated with the New York Times: I can only conclude that Krugman has somewhat, ah, peculiar requirements for maintaining a particular narrative.”

Quote of the Day (March 22, 2011)

Moe thinks the NOW lady protests too much
*
Moe Lane:
"Bill Maher was channeling his inner tough-guy-misogynist again and used a fairly crude sexual crudity in the process of lying about THAT WOMAN’s response to the disaster in Japan (because, well, Bill Maher)... Anyway, eventually NOW got sufficiently embarrassed to live up to its own standards and issue a condemnation. Very, very ungraciously... 'You’re trying to take up our time getting us to defend your friend Sarah Palin...' 'Friend?' Don’t you think that that is a rather dismissive and trivializing way to describe a former governor and vice presidential candidate who, by all accounts, is a potent and empowered figure in conservative/Republican circles? Who told NOW that they could make Sarah Palin into the Other on our 'behalf,' in other words? What gives them the right to define our associations?"

Quote of the Day (August 27, 2010)

Moe Lane at RedState.com:
"AFL-CIO head thug Dick Trumka is worried about THAT WOMAN’s ‘poisonous‘ rhetoric. The thug feels that a June speech in which she referred to ‘union thugs’ hit a little too close to home is an incitement to violence... Eddie York could not be reached for comment."

Moe Lane:
My takeaway from the Jill Dorson piece in which she regrets her Obama vote...

You admit that your first impression of George W Bush was incorrect. You admit that your first impression of Barack Obama was incorrect. You admit that your first impression of what an Obama administration would entail is incorrect. And then you spend an amazing amount of precious apology time revisiting your unfavorable first impression of THAT WOMAN. Have you considered following the trend line, there?

While we’re on the subject: you are aware that THAT WOMAN made many of the same objections about Obama’s experience and future plans, yes? I mean, really: there was no reason for anybody to be surprised at what happened.

At RedState.com, Moe Lane reminds us:
"Seven months since the Wasilla Church Burning and no arrests, no updates, and no real indication that the federal government is taking seriously an organized attempt to murder mothers and children by setting their church on fire."

Quote of the Day (May 30, 2009)

From my RedState.com colleague Moe Lane's diary, "Welcome to the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, Gawker":
"On the bright side, you no longer have to pretend that you actually care about recycling, that secondhand smoke is a greater killer than Hitler, that Sarah Palin is dumber than Joe Biden, or that if you had a gun and six frothing maniacs bearing down at you that you wouldn’t toss it to Dick Cheney and hit the dirt."
