Going Rogue: North to Alaska and Two Air Force Bases

*
Posting on her Facebook Notes page, Sarah Palin announced two additional stops on her Going Rogue Book Tour, both at Air Force bases in her home state of Alaska:
Home to Alaska

This book tour has been an amazing and inspirational experience for me and my family as we crisscrossed the country and met so many wonderful Americans. At nearly every stop we met someone with a connection to Alaska – usually through the military from being stationed at one of Alaska’s bases. With that in mind, we’ve decided to hold the final book signings at Alaska's Elmendorf and Eielson AFBs. Hope to see you there!

Quote of the Day (May 17, 2009)

For the second day in a row, the QOTD comes from GrizzlyBarb at Elmendorf AFB:
"There was no limo or fancy motorcade for the Palins. Just a simple SUV driven by Todd. (He was quite the gentleman and opened Sarah's door for her.) Just another shining example of how money and fame doesn't always have to change someone."

Quote of the Day (May 16, 2009)

GrizzlyBarb:
"In case you are wondering... yes, Sarah Palin is even more beautiful in person. And yes, she is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. She is not the typical politician. She is more like a neighbor, who stopped over for a visit. She had time for everyone, answered questions, and was super with the kids."
