MSNBC/Politico Tag Team Criticizes Palin for Overseas Trip

MSNBC and Politico, two of the most virulent anti-Palin outlets in the Democrat/Media complex, teamed up to blast Gov. Palin for her overseas visit to two countries which are among America's strongest allies. Obama PR operative Andrea Mitchell, who plays a journalist on TV, and Jeanne Cummings, a managing editor at leftsite Politico, are seen ganging up on the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate in this clip from Eyeblast TV:


Mitchell lied through her teeth, a common practice for the leftist talking head, by mumbling that Gov. Palin's recent trip was "one of her first ventures overseas." Actually, it was her fourth excusion overseas and seventh visit of significance to take place on foreign soil.

As governor of Alaska, she made a surprise sojourn to Kuwait to spend some time with the Alaska Army National Guard's 3rd Battalion 297th Infantry, which was deployed there at the time. She then flew to Germany to visit wounded soldiers in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center there before returning to the U.S. Two years later, Gov. Palin again visited troops from Alaska deployed overseas, members of 1st Battalion, 207th Aviation Regiment, form the bulk of Task Force Arctic Eagle at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.

In September, 2009, Sarah Palin flew to Hong Kong, where she had been invited to deliver a major address which was well received. In March of 2010, she spoke to a crowd of over 1,000 in Cagary, Canada - not an overseas journey but a visit to our northern neighbor and another country which is a key U.S. ally. And her recent trip to the nations of India and Israel included a brief stop in Taiwan. Were Andrea Mitchell not so intellectually incurious and left-biased, she would know these facts and report truthfully.

Mitchell praised Clinton, disses Palin for making real money

Oh, the hypocrisy! Geoffrey Dickens at NewsBusters on liberal and Palin-challenged Andrea Mitchell's double standard:

NBC's Andrea Mitchell, on Thursday's Today show, delivered a snarky piece about Sarah Palin "making millions on books" and "highly paid speeches"going as far to portray the former Republican Alaskan governor as a diva who demands a Lear jet and "bendable straws" for her water bottles at appearances.

However Mitchell was singing a different tune back in 2001 when a former Democratic officeholder, in this case Bill Clinton, cashed in, as she hailed on the August 7, 2001 NBC Nightly News: "The self-declared 'Comeback Kid,' a hero to his new office neighbors in Harlem, now breaking a world record, signing the biggest non-fiction book deal in history, bigger than the Pope's. Bigger than Hillary Clinton's. Sources say as much as $12 million."

Fast forward to Thursday's Today show, and Mitchell painted Palin as a hypocrite for getting rid of her state-funded luxury jet back in Alaska, since she is now requesting a Lear jet for an appearance at the cash-strapped Cal State-Stanislaus University. However, as Mitchell herself pointed out, albeit at the end of the piece, Palin's speech at the campus is being paid by private funds and will, according to the university's president, raise money for the school.

Andrea Mitchell compares Sarah Palin to George Wallace

Democrat Party media shill Andrea Mitchell, in an appearance on NBC’s "Meet the Press" Sunday morning, continued her long-running attacks on conservatives in general and Sarah Palin in particular. RedHampshire.com reports:

This morning, Mitchell was asked about Sarah Palin and the conservative movement. Her Response?

“I have not seen this type of anger since my first campaign . . . 1968. . . with George Wallace. . . This anger that is not fact-based – just angry.”

Mitchell overlooks one small fact: Wallace was a Democrat; Sarah Palin is a Republican, and the lady from Alaska doesn't have a racist bone in her body.

Mitchell is getting even more deranged with each passing day. Her race-baiting of conservatives and baseless ad hominem attacks on Sarah Palin are growing tiresome. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed could take lessons on leftist partisanship and character assassination from this hysterical leftist who masquerades as a journalist.
