She's also third in the latest CNN poll
*
According to this post title at The Other McCain, Gov. Palin has turned down the invitation that CNN had extended to her to participate in the debate being sponsored tonight by the network and Tea Party Express. We had gathered as much when no news came over the weekend that she had accepted the invitation, and Greta Van Sustern announced that Sarah Palin would be a guest on her "On The Record" program tonight.
If she had accepted the CNN invitation to debate, it would have likely been a violation of her contract with Fox News, a job the governor doesn't appear quite ready to give up -- at least not just yet.
Stacy also reports the results of CNN's latest GOP presidential poll, which has Gov. Palin in third place with 15 percent, behind Ranger Rick with 30 percent and Mitt "Unemployed" Romney with 18 percent.

Does the fact that she doesn't appear ready to give up her Fox job worry you that she won't run? I think she's been running all along but she just hasn't announced yet. Then I read that and the tiniest twinge of doubt crept in.
ReplyDeleteTo be in 3rd place, and not even an announced candidate, puts her in a very strong position. It should be noted that Palin's book, America by Heart, is now #11 in political bestsellers, which is good since it is almost a year old. Perry's book is #15.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I said she doesn't appear willing to give up the Fox job "just yet." That she will soon be ready to tell Fox what they can do with that job, I have no doubt. Consider the way some of her fellow Fox contributors have been trashing her.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Gingrich was dropped as a contributor by Fox because he's in the race, it doesn't prevent him from appearing on the network, as Greta had him on last night as a guest. Same would be true for Gov. Palin.

Thanks for the reassurance. I've been reading way too many anti-Palin remarks at Lucianne.com recently. There are a handful of anti-Palin Ldotters who daily bad-mouth Palin, and it's getting to me. I thought L.com had zero tolerance for such stuff, but apparently not. Anyway, I really needed to read some reassuring words. Many of my friends think she'll announce the end of this week. Yeah!
