Texas Governor Rick Perry's 9-point lead over former Houston Mayor Bill White continues from last month, according to the latest poll by Rasmussen Reports on the Lone Star State's governor's race.
The only significant change from the last poll is that Perry is back up to the 50% mark after dipping just below it in June. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Lone Star State shows Perry with 50% support. White, a former mayor of Houston, picks up 41% of the vote. Two percent (2%) like another candidate in the race, and seven percent (7%) are undecided.
In mid-June, Perry held a 48% to 40% lead over White.
Sarah Palin endorsed Gov. Perry in January, when the incumbent was still battling Sen. Kay Bailout Hutchison for the Republican nomination, a contest he won handily.
