The Alaska Ear passes along the rumor that Gov. Sarah Palin will return to New York Friday. It seems that Alaska House, a nonprofit arts and cultural center "representing the Alaskan point of view," is hosting an invitation-only Global Seafood Tasting Event on May 8.
The Ear hears that the governor will be there to promote one of her state's key exports - canned Alaskan salmon. Alaska Pink Salmon is not just a delicacy for upscale dining. It has become a staple of the Global Food Aid Program and is helping to feed the world's hungry.
The Ear doesn't give much credence to another rumor, one which supposes that while she is in NY, Gov. Palin will sign that $7 Million book deal that has become the stuff of legend. Indeed, buzz that she was shopping such a deal has been heard several times since the election last November, but the governor has never confirmed such rumors. And who could blame her? Some useful idiot member of Alaska's "Ring of Hatred" would probably file an "ethics complaint" over it.

More evidence for the NY trip, she tweeted about AK salmon helping to feed the world today. Although I guess she ran out of room to put a link? Maybe she will later. She says to find out more but there's no link ...
ReplyDeleteI asked her for a link but no response... I am hungry now and would love some drawn butter and Alaska King Crabs or I could make some Salmon cakes from canned Salmon.
ReplyDeleteI better go have breakfast. :)
