Yesterday, Gov. Sarah Palin's nominee to be Alaska's Attorney General went before the Judiciary Committee of the State Senate. Today it was the House Judiciary Committee's turn. Wayne Anthony Ross received what the Juneau Empire characterized as a "mostly warm" reception from committee members.
Things cooled off a bit when one Democrat asked about a letter to The Alaska Bar Association Newsletter, the language of which she called "upsetting" to her and her constituents. Ross answered that his personal opinions have nothing to do with the job. He said as AG, he would not give his personal opinion on such matters, but would uphold the laws of the state.
